You can now include up to 200 stops in a single route using the Walk App. This is an increase from the previous limit of 25. The update is available now and does not require any setup or configuration changes.
This enhancement gives field teams more flexibility with fewer constraints. Whether you are canvassing, engaging communities, conducting outreach, or collecting field data, Ecanvasser’s route planning software scales with your team’s needs. Why we made this change
Many organizations using Ecanvasser operate at scale. That may include high-density city blocks, rural areas, or region-wide field operations. Under the previous limit, teams had to split coverage into multiple short routes, coordinate across overlapping assignments, and manage unnecessary operational complexity.
By increasing the limit to 200 stops, planning becomes more efficient. Field execution becomes simpler. And operational coordination becomes significantly lighter.
What this enables
The update improves the efficiency of planning, assigning, and executing field activity. With support for larger routes, you can reduce fragmentation and increase visibility across your territory.
Field teams can cover more ground without breaking lists into smaller segments. Team leads can reduce assignment overhead. Everyone spends less time planning and more time on the work that matters.
The underlying routing logic and optimization remain unchanged. This update simply removes a technical limit. Backend performance improvements ensure that larger routes remain responsive, accurate, and reliable in offline mode.

Who benefits
Any team running structured activity in the field can benefit from the new 200-stop limit. Whether your goals involve community outreach, public engagement, canvassing, or field-based data collection, you can now create and complete higher-volume routes without needing additional tools or manual workarounds.
Operations managers can assign larger regions more confidently. Teams on the ground can complete entire zones without handoffs or unnecessary check-ins. Ecanvasser supports high-volume field work across use cases, from grassroots advocacy and voter contact to research and feedback collection.
As a route planning solution and broader field operating system, Ecanvasser adapts to the geography, complexity, and scale of your work.
How to use it
Route planning takes place directly in the Walk App. The new 200-stop capacity is already live and available.
To create a route, open the Walk App and go to Map View. Tap to select contacts or apply filters to target a specific group. Tap Create Route to begin. You can add up to 200 stops, define a start and end point if needed, or let the app optimize the order automatically.
Once saved, the route is available offline. You will see the ordered list of stops, estimated travel time, and navigation prompts for seamless movement between locations. Nothing has changed in how routing is managed. The only difference is the amount of work you can now accomplish with a single route.

Example: Scalable across any field environment
In high-density urban areas, a single apartment block or housing estate can include more than 100 doors. Previously, field teams would need to split these into multiple assignments, often leading to overlap or gaps. Now, one user can complete the full route in a single plan with less friction.
In rural or low-density areas, the challenge is distance rather than volume. Even with fewer contacts, the need to travel long distances meant building several small driving routes. With the expanded limit, entire rural regions can now be mapped into one route, reducing fragmentation and saving time.
Across urban, suburban, or rural contexts, the update ensures your team can operate more efficiently in the field, with fewer constraints.
Why it matters
Most route planning software tools restrict users to between 10 and 25 stops per route. For larger operations, this creates friction that often leads to workarounds, external tools, or manual mapping.
With Ecanvasser, you can now plan and complete routes of up to 200 stops within the Walk App. There is no need for plugins, spreadsheets, or third-party mapping tools.
This update continues our focus on building a field operations platform that is flexible, scalable, and easy to use—regardless of your goals or team structure.
